Dr. Toufexis was trained in adult psychiatry at the University of Rochester and then completed child psychiatry fellowship at University of South Florida where she served as chief. After graduation she continued to work at USF as an Assistant Professor in Pediatrics and worked primarily at Rothman Center of Neuropsychiatry. There she participated in multiple research studies, publications, medication consultation phone line for pediatricians, and supervised resident doctors. She also worked part-time at USF Hope House for Eating Disorders and USF Healthy Weight Clinic. She has spent time working and treating eating disorder patients for the last 10 years as well. These patients were at Center for Discovery in Tampa and Fairwinds Treatment Center. She also has extensive experience with telepsychiatry.
